We believe that you are what you eat, and that our scalps literally drink up what you put on them! We're head over heels in love with what Mother Earth has provided us and love for our products to be as chock full of her vitamins and minerals as possible!

At Ecoslay, we practice a natural-first philosophy when it comes to ingredients. What that means is, when formulating a new product, we first look for natural ingredients that will get the job done. More than likely, okra, marshmallow root and slippery elm will fit the detangling bill better than synthetics! Sometimes, a completely natural ingredient just can't get the job done - in these cases, we then take a look at plant-based ingredients. These ingredients were formulated from natural and might be boosted by synthetics. In rare cases, even those ingredients don't get us where we need to be. A great example of this lies in some of the preservatives that we use. Some are purely synthetic - these are sometimes necessary to keep our plant-based formulas intact and safe. But don't you worry! When we do choose to use plant-based or fully-synthetic ingredients, we do our homework to double-check the efficacy and safety of these materials so that the beauty of our natural ingredients always shine through.

So, that's our ingredient philosophy in a nutshell. Paying a tremendous respect to nature while not ignoring science - that's the Ecoslay way.

We also believe that what you put ON your body is just as important as what you put IN it. So, why should we take the time to put organic fruits and veggies in our diet while slathering our hair and scalp with ingredients that we can't pronounce? Each ingredient in our products is carefully chosen because it gets the job done AND is good for you.
